English Deepstack Poker Championship 2011 (Birmingham)

Jehan Zaib wins the second English Deepstack Poker Championship.



After a 3 hour long heads up battle Jehan Zaib overturned a big chip deficit to defeat Amir Masood and claim the title and £27,850 prize money.

Amongst the 225 players were previous D4 Events Deepstack Champions Amy Trodd, Thomas Luther as well as established pro's such as Paul Jackson (making his 3rd D4 Deepstack cash in a row), Karl Mahrenholz, Mickey Wernick, Steve Jelinek, Stuart Fox, Julian Thew & Mark McCluskey.

Carlos Lopes wins the Belgian Deepstack Poker Championship.



After 3 long days of play Frenchman Carlos Lopes has emerged victorious at The Belgian Poker Championship. He bested a field of 513 players who came from all over Europe to play this popular event.

For the second year in a row D4 Events Belgian Deepstack has sold out in advance. Capacity was 500 players but 13 alternates were squeezed in as players busted in the first two levels.

Mediterranean Deepstack Poker Championship 2011

Wesley Nobels wins the Mediterranean Deepstack Poker Championship.



Wesley Nobels took the chip lead going into day 2 of the event and converted it into his first major live tournament win.

Wesley now has 4 Hendon Mob Flags, all of them from D4Events tournaments.

Wesley plans to invest his winnings into playing more poker tournaments. Keep your eye on this young Belgian player.

Over 90% of the field travelled from afar to this event with players attending from England, Ireland, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Luxembourg, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Croatia, Italy, Latvia, Bosnia, Canada and The USA.

Austrian Deepstack Poker Championship 2011

Thomas Luther wins the Austrian Deepstack Poker Championship.



German player Thomas Luther outlasted 415 other players at The Austrian Deepstack Poker Championships which was held in the Montesino Card Casino, Vienna.

Thomas amassed almost half the chips in play when there was still 7 players left. He was able to negotiate a deal which saw him take €38,000 and places him on top of the D4 Events player of the year leaderboard.

25 different nationalities took part in this event with the final table eventually containing 5 local players, 2 Germans and 2 Hungarians. The most well known player to make the final table was Pokerstars Pro Richard Toth who has numerous large cashes to his credit including winning a WPT and runner up in a WSOP event.

Germans completed a grand slam with Maxim Lod and Josef Schmolz taking down the side events.

English Deepstack Poker Championship 2011 (Luton)

Amy Trodd wins the inaugural English Deepstack Poker Championship.



Amy Trodd overcame a field of 188 players to clinch victory in the first English Deepstack Poker Championships. Amy beat Pino Valentino heads up to take the £25,000 first prize. Pino won £16,000 for his second place finish.

Amy had previously held the chip lead in the Mediterranean Deepstack Poker Championships before suffering a huge bad beat in a massive pot to eventual runner up Thomas Nolan. This win puts Amy on top of the leaderboard for the D4 Events player of the year award.

European Deepstack Poker Championships 2011

Magnus Nasslin wins the 4th European Deepstack in Dublin taking home €70,000!



737 players entered the 4th European Deepstack Poker Championship main event. After 4 days of deepstacked poker there was only one player left standing. Sweden's Magnus Nillson had decided to travel over whilst celebrating the new year with some of his friends. It proved to be a good decision as they all shared a slice of his €70,000 payday.

Laurent Catala was the runner up, his A5 no match for Magnus's KK in the final hand. The Frenchman took home €54,000 to soften the blow. His countryman Alexi Di Filippo was third taking €48,410. Over 30 different countries were represented in the main event with players travelling from as far as the USA and Russia to play.
